Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue about that; I'm right, and I will be proved right. Music is more popular than Jesus now; I don't know which will go first -- rock'n'roll or Christianity. Jesus was all right, but his disciples were thick and ordinary. It's them twisting it that ruins it for

Christians claim that Jesus fulfilled the prophecies and therefore the 613 laws of the old testament are void. The problem with this logic is nowhere in the new testament does Jesus say that the old laws are done away with. Excuse after excuse are given without true justification of why these laws are not being followed.
I believe that Christians either just pass over the nasty segments of the bible as to not shake their faith or justify it with something out of the blue. They know that the bible contains many horrible things but the fear of life without the crutch of religion can be frightening to some.
All we can do is point these facts of the bible out and hope that in time religion is exposed for what it is, a good mythological story.

Culture does not trump the Bible. the bible is God's truth and is eternal and unchangeable. The coming of Christ in the New testament offered us a better way than the law. that better way is love and forgiveness. In the incident of Jesus and the adulteress, the Jews were ready to stone her to death, but Jesus chose to forgive her and commanded her not to sin anymore. this is true Christianity in action. Christianity is about love and forgiveness. the law was given to show mankind that there was a better way---Jesus Christ. The 11th Commandment is love thy neighbor has thyself, not stone him to death because he has offended you. People who are easily offended do not forgive easily, if at all. Christians who do not forgive are not Christians---they are something else, but they are not Christians.

These laws were given to Jews, not to the world. There is no reason for the rest of us to follow them. However, Christians will often honor the ones that seem like good common sense, like tithing and the 10 commandments.

Brenden it doesn't mater how much you say these things, it doesn't make them true. You are stuck in the Old Testament (Old Covenant) we Christians are under the New Covenant and no longer under the Law. If you wanna have a beef it would be with the Jews, they are still under the law, but they don't do these things either so ask them.

The bible is indeed rejected by the secular world. Jesus does not advocate killing anyone. In fact, he said, "let the first among you who is without sin cast the first stone." CHristians are not bound by Old Testament laws. THe new law is love God with all your heart and soul. And love thy neighbor as yourself.

Because we don't follow the Old Testament laws. Once again, the communists are atheists, and they killed over 100 million people. I win.
OK, why do you hate Christians so much? Don't tell me, mom and dad gave you a strict upbrining. I hear that one all the time.
