I dont need anything really advanced, just a good camera with these functions. There seem to be so many on the market that I get confused.

If you want quality digital still photos, get yourself a quality digital camera (Canon, Nikon, Olympus) any of the well known brand names make good digital cameras. Same goes for a Video camera, quatlity video cameras are available from a variety of manufacturers. Most digital cameras do take some video as well, however the quality of the image won't be as good as a real video camera, and you'll be really limited as to the number of minutes of footage you can shoot. Don't try to get a camera that does all three (video, still photos and webcam) , because you'll end up with a camera that does none of the three very well.

Think about what you'll use your camera for the most, will you be taking snapshots every day, filming everyday, or sitting in front of your pc chatting on the webcam everyday. If your looking for a webcam, you can get good ones for about $40.

My camera is a KODAK EasyShareDX7630. I have an SD card in it to take 650 pictures. Bought it at WALMARTS, 2 years ago. Have taken 1600 pic. Dozens of movies (has a 30 minute capacity, til you download it.) Took it to Assembly Hall, Champaign, Illinois for drill team competitions---so it does take great indoor videos. Never really tried it for a web cam, have a separate web cam though. The girls are always needing it for pics. They did their senior pics this year with it. Came out beautiful (saved a ton of money on studio pics).

Try a Vivitar. I think most of their cameras do it all, and they are not very expensive. 5 or 6 million pixels would do you...Good luck..

What ever you do, don't buy kodak. I have owned two and both broke shortly after buying them and kodak's after sales service is appalling!
