I know you are going to get a lot of long answers, BUT that is what Love is. GIVING without expecting anything in RETURN. It is that SIMPLE

Economics deals mostly with finances - or economy, if I'm not mistaken, which translate to money. So, "making efficient use of scarce resources" will be measured in monetary terms. That is "if I do this, what do I get in return?"

However, as a christian, 'loving people without expecting anything from them' is a command from the Lord. It is a christian duty to love! It is obeying the command of the Lord.

There is always a reason for every matter. The same thing goes in this matter, LOVE. Eventhough, we are helping for free or without expecting anything in the return, but there is always a purpose in our mind virtually. Ask yourself, why are you helping? Of course not because of money or presents or praise. But we are hoping that God will return us something better, the most important thing is a better LIFE. We don't want to be judged by human, but God the most importantly. That's it!!! Good luck and take care...

When you do anything for others and expect returns, that is pure business. It hasn't got anything to do with help or love.

The reason to love without expecting return - to develop a perfect harmony in the environment. If you love someone selflessly, you are contributing in developing an environment which is selfless and hatred free. People could actually learn a hell lot of things from you... 'Pyaar karo toh aisa karo ki misaal ban jaaye, Kisi chahnewaale ka naam usay puchho toh jubaan par bas naam tera hi aaye...'

Yes, the person helped should pay back, but the helper should not expect to be paid back; it is a delicate balance...and when you love, you should continue loving even in the face of apparent acts of unlove done to you; otherwise, you will become bitter and old before your time, and end up with a lifetime of regrets and envy towards others who you (perhaps wrongly) perceive as being in happy relationships. And if you wish to love your brothers and sisters in this life, you must first love your God with all your heart, mind and soul...

From the Christian viewpoint, we are command to "love." Love is not a job. I do this and get this in payment. We are not talking relationships here. We are talking about giving meaningful service to others and God.

We are told we will reap what we sow. I have assisted people just because they needed help. Strangers I knew nothing about, and may not want to know. There has been times when I had problems, and strangers assisted me. What goes around comes around.

Is there a reason to love people without expecting anything from them?

Try, "it's the right thing to do."

I always help people in need if i can, and it doesnt cost me money, and if the person is sincire and not just using me as a labour. It is automatical for me, and I never expect a payback from it. I f I get a payback, Im glad, but never waiting for it.

doing things truly from the heart requires no payment that we can feel, but if its from the heart then the one who received it took it from GOD, what goodness we give is from GOD to those who believe. It is harmful to give and not forsee the outcome of your actions. To give something good one must have a foundation that is equitable. paying a debt is different than repayment for a kind act.

love, affection, sympathy and empathy, forgiveness, kindness all these are virtues of the mankind. however, the degree of showing them to some one depends how the other person relates to us. yet, even when we give them to other person unconditionally, our soul will be rewarded by way of their grateful gestures like reciprocation, reverence, devotion etc. and above all their fulfillment of need leading them to happiness, relieving them from the pain and agony of life etc., gives us enormous soul satisfaction and contentment for being a human being. this is the reason why we love people.
