Once again the democrats are taking america down! How dare them deny support to our troops. This is an outright act of treason. The ones who voted for no increase in support for our troops should be lined up in front of a firing squad and shot for treason!

Gm, i served in the marine corps, have you? Another person who needs to get his facts straight. Thats what im talking about. See none of these people who voted against it know what there talking about. They know nothing about being in the military. Be silent until youve at least served one day in the military.

I do not like it, Democrats are cowards, just trying to bring the troops back defeated. Democrats voted for this war also, now want to turn tail and pretend like they are so not guilty of nothing. They two face back stabbing Democrats, will people ever learn. The only good outcome might be, if, and that is a big IF? a Democrat wins election in 2008, and we are attacked again, maybe the troops might say, protect yourself, you abandoned us once, this time, you do it. I agree with you with all my heart and soul, these people needs to be dealt with exactly how you said.

Democrats are so against our troops!! They are the worst thing for the military. As a wife of a US Marine, I see first hand all the support and great things that Bush has done for us. If it was up to the Democrats our young military families would still be living in condemned housing. Thanks to Bush and the Republicans, they have made new housing, plus increased pay and benefits!!
I agree 5000% with you!!!!
Edit: I just love how people can sit on their butts and bash away at the war and our troops....well people...you have that right because of our troops going to war to protect our country. We do have the freedom to say and do what we want. You don't have to support the war to support the troops. But to blame President Bush for EVERYTHING is just ignorance.

Bush has acquired many gullible followers, but the truth is that his insistence that the USA invade Iraq in the first place was about the stupidest thing a president could have done, especially while US troops were doing such a great job of kicking terrorist *** in Afghanistan. Even if Saddam had WMD, the UN inspectors were holding him at bay, while we were dealing with are real enemies the terrorists.
Now were between a rock and a hard place in Iraq. If I was one of the US soldiers over there, I'd want all the additional help the USA could send.
The democrats are being very helpful in the fact that they want to get our troops out of harms way. The middle east countries will never be at peace. They have wared against each other for centuries. Why should they stop now?

I agree with you. I am in the Navy so I get kinda pissed off when people say why dont you serve. I lost my twin brother in Iraq so I have personnally felt the war. I still support the what we are doing. Everyone I know who has served in Iraq and Afghanistan believes it is the right thing to do and I so do I. I support the President and I voted for him. All these people who claimed they were deceived must not have had the facts right to begin with. I found it disturbing how many people gained a false sense of patriotism after 9/11 and now are back to flag burning and spitting on troops. I have several good friends that have come back to the States to be spit on in the airport. Those people make me sick. Too many ignorant people out there. Thank you for your service too.

What they are doing is shameful. They are so very hypocritical to say they are helping the troops when in fact, they are not. They make decisions purely based on political agendas and not in the best interest of what is best for the country.
I'm proud I am NOT a democrat. They should change to name from the "Democratic Party" to the "Socialist Party" and be true to who they are.
As for the war, I don't think we should have gone into Iraq in the first place as in hindsight, it's destabilized the entire area now and at great expense to the American people. I don't support the USA being the worlds policeman and I certainly don't want to pay for it.
As a taxpayer, I'm unhappy about many of the financial choices made by this country's politicians. But I'm overjoyed at the tax cuts Bush has pushed, and equally disgusted by the "tax and spend" philosophy of the Democrats.

The problem with our "freedom of Speech and Our Due Process of Law is that Al Jizeera Broadcasts it here with a great anti American Spin. We are not allowed to shoot unless shot at. The Insurgents ( we know because they look different than the Locals) come up to the gates with no weapons armed with news papers and faxes, they Scream at us "you go Home!', "Your Congress does not support you , go home". Then they go back and fire a few rounds in our direction.
The danger is real and now they scare the Locals that support us saying " when they go home we will cut your throats" Now the People that smiled at us and offered us prayers walk away. A lot of kids would always come by as we hand out a lot of toys. Now we are being told that when we leave any child with an American toy will be butchered! the toys we gave to smiling children a few weeks ago are ending up thrown out on the streets. Pelosi and gang are creating a mini terror on their own!

This is all politics. Their hatred of Bush is so deep that it dominates their every thought and action, and they don't care, they are willing to send this message to our troops and the rest of the world.. We should be showing a united front. Hanoi Jane is at it again too, and one of the "peaceniks" at the rally in Washington with her SPIT at a young amputee who had lost his leg in Iraq. Bunch of phony, disgraceful hypocrits. They hate the military and all that it stands for, and most hate America as well. I have a son who will be going to Afghanistan again soon. He's been to Iraq (3 times, including the Gulf War) He has said the same as your son, it is nothing like what is being reported. Unfortunately, not many want to hear what is really going on. These politicians are doing more harm than any of us realize I'm afraid. So what happens in a few years when we get to see the results from all this division that is happening in our country I wonder? We need to remember who to "thank" for what they have done.
Thanks to your son and to you also for selflessly serving our country. God bless America and brave, honorable troops.

It is called the voice of the American people, maybe you forget that America voted to put these Representatives in office to make decisions for us. Incidental just maybe bringing them home is supporting the troops that have done everything and accomplished every objective since this evil war has started.
Edit: When loyalty to ones political party clouds what is good for the country, that is when one blames the other party instead of introspect into the issue. You sir are guilty of this, Iraq has never been good for this country and we should have never went to war with them based on the lies of the President of the United States. We are there only to either serve his own political agenda or we are there to ensure his personal gain. Think about it the democrats and many repuglicans want to bring the solders home where the belong.

They have passed a non binding amendment that sends a message to our troops and our nation that they would rather give up and let Iran have Iraq, then to give support to our commander and chief to see if this new direction would work. I would have rather they put an agreement together with the president asking the Iraqi government to do more than to wave a white flag. My fear is the worst is yet to come. If they try to cut funding to our troops, that will cross the line and become treasonist. The nonbinding agreement is nothing more than a political statement. I wonder how much money this long debate about a nonbinding agreement cost the taxpayers?

I agree with you'r thoughts, whats more is that when the Democrats are in power and when Tony Blair is out of Office in England and when John Howard is out in Australia there will be Democratic or Labor Leaders pulling everyone out from everywhere, hoping for a peacefull resolution in areas which have endured a thousand years of hatred and war ! I wonder how that will work out !
