Living and dead languages? That would be a lot. The record holder for most number of languages learned is 38 languages spoken fluently by Cardinal Mezzofanti.

I don't think somebody could ever speak all european languages!That's impossible!!!!I speak greek(native speaker),english and italian and some german
Take a look at how many the european languages are(including dialects):
