Well, they both sound good, if you do choose we its probably because it takes two people to love each other, but if you choose I you are talking about a love that you had but then you lost because it was what you possibly did that cost you that love, I would go for I because it shows more lonliness and distress.

In that difficulty that's not significant which sounds greater powerful. What concerns is that if it grow to be the affection which you (I) had or if it grow to be the affection that the two considered one of YOU (we) had. that's not meant to alter purely to sound stable, that's meant to be what's actual to the poet.
