No where in the Bible, just a cute story, not unlike the idea that the devil has red skin, horns, and a pitchfork.

The Bible doesn't say that. Jesus gave Peter "the keys to the kingdom of heaven". In other words, Ok Peter, I'm leaving and you must continue preaching and teaching the gospel. Like a father would hand over the car keys to his son......You get the idea?

Dude, you've heard too many jokes about Peter and the pearly
gates. If you believe that Jesus Christ is God, then when you
die you will be face to face with HIM and the Father.
2 Corth. 5:8. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be
absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
Sorry, Peter is not the Greeter!

Jesus gave St. Peter the keys to the kingdom of heaven.
It says so in the Bible.
The rest is pure speculation.

In the same verse that says he was the first Pope of the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
I'm sorry, forgive my sarcasm, the Bible actually says neither.

it does not.
However the passage where Jesus says he hands the keys to heaven over to Peter is used to support the figurative position of Peter as the gatekeeper.

Revelation 3,7
"Thus says he who is holy and true, who holds the key of David; if he opens nobody shuts and if he shuts nobody opens."
