Before starting for a new product; u have to look for ur competitors and existing products those can replace ur product; their prices; their schemes; their market share and area. after that do promotion of ur product by advertising, keeping price of ur product low than others as ur product is new in the market. Here as u have not mentioned the type of product u r going to do marketing for that; it has become somehow difficult to give definite ans. of ur Qn...still i have tried,,,,but if u want more details refer for Marketing Management by PHILIP KOTLAR, it will definitely help u.

Dear Hemant, what is your qualification? Are you going to complete your project reports with yahoo answers?
It is better to check first your products feature, than make research in market for your product's segment. Study the methodology of your competitors. Once you know and get confidence in your product with market segment than target customer and see how it is going to benefit more to them from your product compare to your competitors.
Once you got all above ideas you can go for Internet Marketing, New paper ad, Cable TV ad, Magazine ad etc etc.
