Actually, he was named in Aramaic: Yeshuah.
In the second century, the original Aramaic Biblical manuscripts (called the Peshitta) were translated into Hebrew (for the Old Testament) and Greek (for the New Testament). This new translation was called the Biblia. When Yeshuah is transliterated into Greek, the rendering is pronounced "Iesous".
Around the sixth century, the Biblia was translated into a Latin version called the Vulgate. The Romanization of Iesous is "Iesus".
When the letter "i" is used as a consonant in Latin, it becomes a "j" in English; therefore, when the King James had the Vulgate translated into English, "Iesus" became "Jesus."
You might also be interested to know that "Yeshuah", translated directly into English, is "Joshua". Also, "Christ" is not a name but a title--from the Greek "Xristos", meaning "savior". Literally, "the Messiah."

I think you mean "Isa" who is the guy mentioned in the Koran as a prophet of Islam. He is not like Jesus, but Muslims equate him with Jesus. By the way, there is no way to get "Isa" from "Jesus".

Jesus is simply a transliteration from the Greek "Iesous" which is the translation of the Hebrew "Yahowshu" or "Yahowshuwa" (which I have seen spelled various ways, but that is not important since it is an attempt to write the Hebrew using English letters). If you transliterate it from the Hebrew, those names are "Joshua" or "Jehoshua." All the words are meant to be exactly the same name. In the New Testament in fact, Joshua of the Old Testament is translated as "Jesus." (see Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8)

The name means "Jehovah is salvation" and He is so named because the angel of the Lord ordered Joseph to name Him such (see Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins).

Also the angel Gabriel ordered Mary to name Him that too: see Luke 1:31 And, behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name JESUS. (Also see Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said to her, The Holy Ghost shall come on you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of you shall be called the Son of God.)

At Jesus' birth, the angel of the Lord announced: Luke 2:11 For to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.

So we see that Jesus is so named because He is the Son of God, Christ the Lord God, our Savior -- as testified first by the angel Gabriel and the angel of the Lord.
