i thought it may be related to the tonsilitis incident week ago but i have no idee.

its like my head is about to explode, i keep taking co-codamol just to reduce the pain slightly but itt still hurts very much!

I don't know how to judge other people's pain. I do know that for some genetic reason that red-headed people are more susceptible to pain and need more pain-killers. And using medications frequently will lower the body's ability to produce, endorphins are the body's painkillers. Exercise is a natural way to increase endorphins and consuming hot and spicy foods is another way. He may have a chronic condition such as lupus, my daughter has that and it is a very strange disease the way the pains move from one area to another on a daily basis. Took several years for a definite diagnosis from the doctors, her pediatrician seemed to think she wanted to stay home all the time and play video games and watch tv (he had the nerve to say it to us), boy was he surprised when I cornered him about getting her tested and she had autoimmune thyroid disease and sent her to the children's hospital to be tested for lupus. I have had arthritis for over 17 years, try to grin-and-bear-it the best I can and not burden others about the pain that comes and goes, and don't use medications other than natural spices and some herbs for the inflammation. I do believe that some people have problems in their lives that they are not dealing with and it comes out in the form of chronic pain. One good example was when I was a single mother I would have a horrible headache like a hunting knife embedded under my scalp about once a month, and figured out after about 6 months that it was always on my payday, I would get my check, pay bills, buy groceries and fill up the car with gas and have about $100 to last the rest of the month. After I figured the pain was from money worries, I never had those headaches again.

Once you are sure it in not in the family of complications where meds are needed...
Read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches about muscles, pain and referred pain that they cause. It also teaches what to do to help yourself.
