I know it seems weird if the girl is older than the guy if you've never had a relationship like that, but really relative to all the possible ages you could be, being 1.5 years apart is nothing. Tons of guys go out with girls who are a little bit older, I think in probably about 1/4 of the relationships at my college the girl is a little older.
When you're only a year or two apart from someone you'll normally find you feel like you're the same age when you're together, and that the age difference isn't enough to put them in a different life situation than you or otherwise cause distance or weirdness. When people are much older though (like 5+ years) and you're 19 it's weird because they've had a job and been looking after themselves for so long that they're really in a different place in their life than you.
But yeah, 1.5 years older is nothing...

As far as I understand what matters more than thinking. If your girl friend has similar thought as yours, age will never be a barrier. And 1.5 years difference is not a big difference physically. You can certainly manage it. As I said above, if your thinking process is not similar of if your goal in life is not matching, you may face difficulties. So, go explore what is what and if you find it in your favor, enjoy your life. That's the way forward.

i am not a guy, but I think I can answer your question, unless you are really immature for your age, then I can see no reason that age would matter in this case, my brother married a lady who was 3 yrs older than he, and he was 17 then and she was 20, they have been married more than 50 yrs..
age only matters in some cases, each is different.

Go for it, it's not big deal. My grandfather is 70 and his girlfriend is 57. As long as your not 28 and she 13 the difference wouldn't be that much.
