This helps proves that Christianity is true.

A few days ago, there was a paraglider who was swept up into a storm to thousands of feet above the normal paraglider height. It was freezing, but she lived. The others didn't, it was a miracle. She is an atheist.

I think God was trying to get her to be a Christian. Hopefully she will not be stupid and she will convert after this. This was an opportunity that Jesus gave her to keep her from burning in Hell forever.

This proves that God is fair and that he gives people that deserve to burn in Hell a second chance.

Actually if the paraglider was swept UP into the storm, that means she caught a warm updraft. Furthermore, heat is being released at those heights due to deposition (deposition produces heat), making the temperature slightly warmer than it would be at ground level. This is all very basic stuff.

Furthermore, this sounds like one of those stupid hoaxes written by a high school dropout turned televangelist. A few days ago? when? There were "others"? If 10 paragliders just dive bombed the ground somewhere, you can bet it would be on the news. You should cite your sources, and stop trolling these boards with your rightwing christian zealotry. We get it...you're perfect...leave people be.

I do not believe that is proof of that than which nothing greater can be conceived. If she had been a blind leper when she took flight, and then returned to earth perfectly heathy with 20/20 vision, now that would have been a miracle. Maybe it was a miracle or maybe she was created with extraordinary paragliding skills? Either way. God is.

Thats not a miracle. I agree it was amazing, but not proof of gods existence by any stretch of the imagination. Why do you even try to find physical proof? If there is a god he obviously doesn't want any direct proof of his existence and being that he is all powerful you are certainly not going to find any are you. I don't see why it matters. The atheists and theists are never going to be able to convert or prove the other side wrong so just agree to disagree. Us agnostics have decided simply to wait and see.

There are numerous scientifically provable explanations for this. Don't chalk everything up to your gods until you investigate all the other possibilities.
And if the gods saved the atheist, what about the others? It's safe to assume at least one of the others was a believer, but the gods killed him or her anyway. Save the atheist and kill the believer? At least the gods have a sense of the ironic.
Sorry, doesn't wash with me.

Wow! That's one evil and ineffectual god you worship if it willingly sends its True Believers™ to a horrible death in order to convert a nonbeliever -- and then fails at that. But, just in case you're correct (hah!), I'd be a fool to convert; your evil god might kill me just to make a point to some other atheist.

BTW, no one deserves to burn in hell forever, not even someone like Hitler. If your god were real, it would show sinners the error of their ways and redeem them, even after death. Infinite punishment for finite crimes is just cruel and pointless.

No, just the opposite. If there was a God than surely he would save the believers and let the atheists die. It is a funny God that would kill believers in order to try to convert a non believer.

No, this is just a coincidence that means nothing. Luck is in no way proof of god. If you do believe in God, then why would God prove his existence? That would negate faith that saves everybody, because then we wouldn't believe, we'd know. I don't think God would take that away from you, but feel free to call that proof if you want.

You could go ahead and say that maybe God was trying to get across to her that He is all-forgiving and perfectly fair, but you just can't call this proof. I currently find myself in a similar position; I was recently fired from my last job (for reasons completely stupid and bewildering), but I was VERY quickly brought on to work for a former manager that I worked with who is SUPER-ATHEIST!!!! The owners of the pizza franchise she worked for didn't do the best of jobs according to her, and she constantly insults them for being "lousy Christians", which has no bearing whatsoever on their managerial skills. She hates Christianity as much as anyone could, I think, but she helped me out when I was literally down to my last dollar. Freaky, huh? lol

All in all, God doesn't want us to KNOW He exists. He just wants to suggest to us that He exists.

they will never understand my friend. the poor souls who do not see that God acted here need prayer. i hope they open their eyes soon.

the way i look at it, the believers got to go to a better place. they no longer have to live in this ugly world of hate and sin. God did them a favor.
God also did that girl a favor by not letting her die. surly if she would have died she would have been damed for eternity. our gracious God gave her a second chance. and i pray that she comes to realize this. because one day, she isnt going to get a second chance, and she will have to answer to God why she never paid attention.

thank you for posting
God bless you

It is still up to her to except the wonderfull gift Jesus is STILL desperatly trying to hand her. He is knocking on the door of her heart begging her to let him come in. I think we should all pray for her salvation, because it's obvious God has something very special in mind for her.
