Some lessons you can't learn without gaining the perspective of trials. I think this is the justification for him not putting more on you than you can bear. It would be self-defeating to break you by not giving you the tolls and ability (faith) survive teaching you something he wants you to have.
Others are opportunities to give praise to the Lord and show fidelity. Remember Jesus had trials too in the desert and on the daily basis where people tried to tell him he was a liar while he literally was the Truth.
I am not sure where it says it in the Bible, but there is a quote that says to rejoice when you a persecuted in the name of the Lord because in surviving by clinging to your faith in those situations you are demonstrating the power fo the Lord to sustain his servants.
Sadly, sometimes bad things just happen because bad people decide to do bad things to you cause they have an evil spirit about themselves. Jealously, etc. This too falls into the category of being able to demonstrate the graces of God to others even tho it definitely is not fun, it can inspire others to consider the greatness of God.

People living in gods way suffer because they are working towards the process of cleaning their karma's. The amount you send sound vibration or meditate you realise how important it is to reach the path of oneness with the higher self so we heal our soul with prayers. For eg., when you give birth to a child in the process how many mental traumas do a mother face does any lady getting an opportunity knowing the difficulties and risk stop conceiving or delivering ? Why? cause it is a pleasure pain which is created by the nature, and an amount of satisfaction to see our seedling grow and enjoy every action of it good as well as bad. the same way when we pray we go through a pleasure pain which gives us a satisfaction and also oneness with the higher self. Also if you observe you are given the strength to face the tragedy's and situations.

People who live in gods way (I believethat you mean devotees) don't ever see tragedies or dfficult and unexpected situations because for them everything in this world is God's Leela or Prasad, hence dear and acceptable. Only a pseudo-religious will see miseries in his life. Real devotees keep working to help God making the world a better place.

This certainly is a philosophical question posed by
some ancient thinkers of Hinduism and Buddhism. The
problem which is you are facing can not be taken as
an universal one.
The Almighty has chosen you, and every other person for
a particular purpose. The aim of life is to understand
the greatness of the creator. And to search for the
purpose for which a soul is given human life. This
purpose differs from person to person because it is
dependent on the past Karma of the soul. (It is as
different as our finger prints, no two are alike). But
one thing is sure. Human beings are the highest of all
creation. The rest of the creation is intended for the
use of human beings. All people are expected to enjoy
the creation. Since creation itself is divine, all
people are expected to keep their lives as happily as
possible without interference with others.
It is true that you are feeling sad now. However, when
you understand the pupose of your life, then you will
derive the highest happiness of your life.

Because Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, and the world was no longer a perfect world where we live 100% protected from all evil.
I am not trying to be sarcastic here. It is just that it all boils down to that one act. God gave Adam and Eve a choice; a perfect life following exactly in the path that God laid out for them, or the ability to make a decision, they didn't choose the perfect life. It's not that God creates tragedies to test us or to punish us, but with free will and God allowing mankind to make decisions for themselves, with that comes the tragic consequences of those decisions. God did not create Hitler to be the man he became, nor did God put him in a position to kill SO MANY people, but God gave man free will. With that free will, man established a system of governments, and Hitler rose to power due to the actions of men (voting, supporting, etc) using his system of government. Once he acheived power, he kept taking the reigns from other members of government. Man's fee-will allowed it to happen. I hope that with this analogy you see how it is not God that makes these things happen, but rather allows them to happen as the consequences of someone else's actions.
Again, God did not create the tragedies in our life to test us or to punish us, but he did promise us that he would never lay a greater burden on us than we could carry. Even if it seems so much more than you can handle, turn to God, he will strengthen you and help ease your pain. God knows that when you come out on the other side, you are stronger.

God gave man free will. Our 'sufferings' are a by product of a person 'using' or 'misusing' his free will. Our actions have consequences, unfortunately sometimes others suffer because of the bad decisions we make. Its just easier to blame god.

To seek godliness one has to be willing to stake everything.
Even then you will realize what one loses is not even a trifle of what one has gained.

Its not so much that they encounter difficulties, its that they would encounter so many more and more tragic difficulties if they did not live Godly lives.

Are you suggesting that unreligious people don't deal with the same trials and tribulations that the religious have? If you are, I'm afraid that's just not true. EVERYONE'S got crap they have to deal with and/or overcome.
