If your car does not have a satellite antenna, then that means you will have to get an XM receiver + antenna. If you have a factory installed stereo go to the dealer(you don't have to go to a dealer you can also go to any best buy, circuit city...ect.), if it's aftermarket then go to a place like crutchfield.com to order what you need. XM ready just means the stereo has a built in integration system to work with a satellite receiver. The equipment will have the info you need to sign up for service.....Give the Captain my best.

You will need to purchase a tuner. The tuner can be purchased at best buy, cicuit city, or most car audio stores. Make sure it's one for a SONY. The tuner will include the antenna for the XM and it will need to be stuck on the outside of the vehicle. There is a monthly fee of 12.99, or you can purchase a package for 3 months, 6 months, a year, etc... I hope this helps you out good luck!

I have it, and I like it. It's I think 10.99 a month, or cheaper by the year or multiple years. I get it by the year with 2 radios. 2nd radio is about half price of the first one.
