Many muslims believe and behave now the way christians used to believe and behave in Europe during the Middle Ages. A lot of christian converts who left the Catholic Church were persecuted, imprisoned, tortured and killed. And many of these persecuted converts ended up immigrating to USA in order to escape their tormentors.
Christians have had their Reformation. And most of them no longer persecute converts, although there still are some exceptions. The Orthodox in Russia sometimes persecute the Protestants there. And some of these Protestants are still being accepted as refugees in USA.
But muslims never had any Reformation. And that's why many of them still behave the way their ancestors behaved during the Middle Ages and earlier.

Because the religion has no separation in legal matters to the government. That's what happened in Rome, and in England. Once there was a state religion, all things went to hell.
Yet another reason to know that the current Muslim countries are far from the truth about God.

I live in a Muslim country and that does not happen here. It probably happens in SOME Muslim countries, but certainly not all. Be careful of generalizations. Peace.

I had a muslim friend in college who managed to get political asylum to stay in the USA because he left Islam and became an atheist while he was here.
Turns out he ended up with a fatwa on his head, roughly US$100,000... payable by his own father.

Because the peaceful and tolerant Muslims are really extremists and radicals who don't tolerate non-Muslims - except in the Media when they try to convince the world that it is only a handful of "extremists" who preach hate and violence. Actually all Muslims are extremists, radical, and violent.

because of the fact Muslims enable their faith too lots ability. The followers pay for the whole faith teach in replace for a promise of an after existence. And all religions have continually abused their ability considering the fact that day one. Islam itself remains in the eleventh century. The followers do no longer are conscious of it yet they have the flexibility to make their faith replace itself to present day circumstances. many faiths have. however the followers of Islam are so terrified because of the fact they permit their faith to take their lives.

Islam has no tollerance and is afraid... there is no scripture in the Koran that speaks of Gods love for us... only thru a relationshiop with God can you develope that love... God spoke to that when He gave Moses His Commandments... The first two Commandments are the foundation of His love...

In countries that follow Shar'ia law ... its because that is what is required by the law.
Conversion to another religion is not allowed. You're muslim or you're dead.

instead of reading all these answers, which are all pretty much right, look at how many Muslims answered. there was no "bad translation" excuse to use.

Muslims have their own law.....Dont you have a religion and that your religion has got no law..... Why pick on the muslims,, every religion has got their law...
Try asking Dirty Harry n he will tell you.
There's only 1 law. Dirty Harry's Law.
Ask the GOD FATHER he has got his own law and that is
'IF YOU MESS WITH ME, I MESS WITH YOUR FAMILY'
