I would tell him as soon as you can, once you've done this you'll fell relieved it's out the way. You know what he's like so tell him to his face. If you think you'll find this difficult when he ask you out decline any dates, then send him a letter. Enjoy single life!

Best to give it to him face to face. Dont do the text or phone bit.
I agree that its best to say you want to be single. You never know he may have read the signs and know what is coming. When i ever had to do this in the past i have always used the phrase 'just not for me'. You can also say that the chemistry is not quite right for you.
Good luck.

I'm feeling a bit the same at the moment not the fact I don't fancy him it's that he is so chatty one minute and last night I thought he didn't even want to speak to me. I will watch your question only I do think that maybe it is better to just come straight out with it. Well good one so problem solved Biffo

Take some more time to be sure if you really want to do it. You'll never know, spend more time with him, and if you really don't have feelings for him anymore, you better do it kindly, make sure you don't do it on a special occassion, or on a day when he plans to do something for you. Best of Luck

Cant always have a "spark" but make sure you dont want to be with him before you let him go, not fair to chase him once he moves on with someone else. If your going to call it off, do it quick, do it nice and for heavens sake., dont say "it's me not you"

If yr not living together, stop ringing him,if you are ,then it gets abit harder, sit down and say that both our lives have changed and you feel like theres more out there for you..,just be careful that he takes it the way he should.. nobody needs a stalker..

Reduce the amt of times you see him, slowly.
Go out with friends, make yourself unavailable. Then, when you're at the point where you are seeing him 3 times a week or less, he'll already know what's coming.
At that point, you need to take the leap and get out.
If you're able to just do that now, then just do it. But it's tough.

Say, "Goodbye, it's been nice knowing you and we have had some fun. However, it's not quite the same now and I think it is time to go our separate ways. Perhaps we can remain friends."

tell him you you don't feel the spark and you need a space, after a while tell him that this must be over, and you two have to move on..
just be gentle and be honest, and firm...
