There is no difference, Catholicism is Catholicism. Every Weekday the readings are the same, as well as on the weekends. The only difference is the language the mass is said in.

Not far from my home there is a church that professes to be Roman Catholic, but that follows the Latin rites. Is this what you are refering to?

The leader of this group was excommunicated by the Pope (Paul VI I think) a number of years ago. He in turn, did not recognize the Pope, or any of the popes since that time.

Mean and women sit on opposite sides of the church. Women must cover their heads in church, and they are strict about other body coverings as well. The mass is said in Latin, and the altar is against the wall, as in the pre-60's churches.

I don't think there is much doctrinal difference between the two churches.

Catholic doctrine is the same all over the world.

In every country, region, and sometimes even city, language and cultural differences are embraced and reflected in the Church's liturgies.

With love in Christ.
