Pentecostal: what is sometimes called classical Pentecostalism grew out of the late 19th century holiness movement in the united states. The holiness preacher Charles fox Parham began preaching (1901) to his Topeka congregation that speaking in tongues was objective evidence of baptism in the spirit. After the Los Angeles mission of Parham's apostolic faith sect became the center of a great revival (1906) the movement quickly spread around the world. Over the next two decades the movement split along doctrinal and racial lines. Of the many Pentecostalist denominations in the united states today, characterized by belief in the experience of holiness or Christian perfection. This perfection is climaxed by an "infilling of the holy spirit," as evidenced by "speaking in tongues," ecstatic utterances frequently unintelligible to listeners,

First, it is important to note that most scholars agree that one of the signs of demonic possession is the speaking in strange or unintelligible tongues, as the following shows:

"According to the roman ritual, other signs of possession include ‘the ability to speak with some familiarity in a strange tongue or to understand it when spoken by another; the faculty of divulging future and hidden events; and the display of powers which are beyond the subject's age and natural condition.’" (joseph ecanem, ph.d., demonic possession, p. 23)

"The catholic church still defines true signs of possession as displaying superhuman strength, often accompanied by fits and convulsions; changes in personality; having knowledge of the future or other secret information; and being able to understand and converse in languages not previously known to the victim, such as the phenomenon glossolalia. Early puritan ministers and later protestant clergy agreed on the same symptoms for declaring a person demonically possessed. In many incidences there was a complete ignorance of the person's medical condition and behavior." (Michael foreman, ph.d., a short history of diabolical possession, p. 59)

one of the signs of possession as listed in the rituale romanum is as follows: "to speak unknown languages (xenoglosia) and to sustain conversations in such languages, as well as to understand the languages that are spoken." (Rituale romanum)

Of course this does not mean that all "speaking in tongues" is demonic such as the speaking in intelligible tongues that we read about in the book of acts of the apostles. In acts 2:4-8. It tells the happenings on the day of Pentecost. The twelve apostles miraculously spoke in tongues which they received through the baptism of the holy spirit. These tongues were human languages which the apostles miraculously spoke. But it does very well show that the demons also can perform this "Pentecostal miracle of unintelligible tongues" this is further emphasized by the fact that this manifestation common in non-Christian occult and satanic religions [it is common in the Hindu belief] is identical to many modern Pentecostal churches.

The fact that the unintelligible tongue-speaking experience is found in false pagan religions would indicate that its source is not from god but is a human experience confused for divine intervention. The fact that the same experience is known in, and sometimes outside the religious experience altogether would indicate that its source is not from god. The fact that it can be learned and imitated would indicate that it is not a miracle.

Look, go and don't be scared. When you repent of your sins and are baptized and are really sincere then you will receive the Holy Ghost. Then your sins will be washed away and you will be cleansed. About the speaking in tounges, some churches say that you can conciously speak in tounges while you are praying in your mind. Well I think that would just be a bunch of gibberish. When you really speak in tounges it is the Spirit of the Lord that takes over your vocalizations and utters a different language through your mouth. SOMETIMES there IS someone who can interpret what is being said by the person who is speaking in tounges if GOD wants it to be told to the people there. You worry if it is going to be a demon that is using your mouth to speak right? Well you can't control that just as you can't control whether or not God is going to have you speak in tounges. So go and be saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. God will lead and protect you.

When I converted to apostolic Pentecost, it took a while before I was baptized and even started to seek the Holy Ghost.

Don't be scared of speaking in tongues. I know that people are always saying that it is of the devil and demonic and all those things. But it isn't. Speaking in tongues the first time is just the outward sign of receiving Gods Spirit (Holy Ghost). When you start to seek Him, don't worry about tongues, just seek God's presence. Tell Him that you love him and want His Spirit with you always. After you have truly repented and been baptized in Jesus name, you will receive the Holy Ghost. It's not something you really have to seek after, just revel in His presence.

When Jesus has a message for the congregation there will be an interpretation. If what you are saying is just for you (Holy Ghost making intercession for you) there is no need for interpretation. Don't worry about what you are saying, God knows and will provide translation if necessary.

You can always email me if you have any question.

Stay strong, and God Bless.

The bible says one of the signs of you receiving the Holy Ghost is speaking in tongues. I have this discussion with friends all the time. Once you repent and ask the Lord to fill you with his spirit (The Holy Spirit) you shall speak in tongues. For some people it happens right away for some it may take time, but all should speak in tongues. The bible even mentions that we should always pray in the spirit which is praying in tongues.

The bible also says that you can not go to heaven with out the Holy Ghost, and the way you know you have received the Holy Ghost is by you speaking in tongues, so that should give you the answer you need. Continue to ask the Lord to show you truth and i'm sure the Lord will speak to you.

The speaking in tongues is the sign of being baptized in the spirit and Paul says that i wish all would speak in tongues, but you should look for greater gifts. Jesus says these are the signs that will accompany those who believe, they will be able to heal the sick, cast out demons and speak in tongues. There are two examples that i can remember about being baptized with the Spirit and in both they spoke in tongues. When you speak in tongues, it's between you and GOD, not the devil.

Short answer... keep praying, it'll come and when it does it's going to knock your sox off!

Don't try to mimic those around you, the Holy Spirit will comfort you and you'll develop your own language.

The Holy Spirit is already in you, you've just got to allow it to develop in your young Christian life.

Praise God and Bless You.

Knowledge requires time. Your three days do not equal much time. Be patient and the knowledge will come.
