Your testimoney touched me more than any I have seen in a long time. I wish I could have said that was true in my case but I chose on my own to follow God, as I am sure you did.

I think, when it comes to christianity, that the only real was to show others the power of our faith is in living it out.
It's easy to see the televangilists on TV and make fun of them, and then completely write them off when they see the latest whacky prediction or scandel.
Really, its the other kid in class that lives their life puposefully, or the guy in the cubicle that doesn't bend to the pressures of the others around him that really set the stage to make people wonder what makes that person different ... special. Why does he or she stand out?
I'm a youth pastor, and one of the things that I stress with my kids is integrity. I think that if they can live their lives with integrity, especially in todays world, that it will say something very powerful about the God that they follow, and this Jesus that they believe in.
When an example like that ... or if its on a more personal level ... or like your father is set, other cannot help but be impacted by it.
It's one of the reasons I get so dissapointed here by my fellow christians who feel the need to mock the atheists, agnostics, and those of other religions.
It doesn't show the love of christ, or the integrity that he lived. It shows that we're still controlled by the will of the world.
We have to do a better job of walking with christ to set our examples.

you are not your father, you have to make your own choices and decisions because your life is not his--if you do make many of the same decisions, they are still your decisions--living by example makes you a better person and nonbelievers will like and respect you more for it, but as far as making them wonder? That is something that may or may not happen for each one and you will never know

Yea you should follow your dad. no matter what it is god is always going to be apart of your life whether u believe or u don't. if your dad was such a strong believer than i think that god is already showing you that he would love for you to be like that. all god wants is u to be close to him. and trust me when u are close to him you wont have to worry anymore your life would be blessed. am not saying it would be easy coz usually suffering means your closer to him but u wud definitely be blessed with riches in heaven

That is one of the most moving testimonies about a person's spiritual belief in GOD. If that doesn't prove HE exists then nothing would. I have no doubt your father did not go to heaven to be with HIM.

Very sorry for your loss. If you find comfort in following his beliefs, who's to say it's wrong - for you? Hugs and peace to you :)

You can only hope that it works out to their understanding. They either comprehend and open their hearts and minds to God or they stay lost.At least you had tried. That is all Christ wanted.
