I'm meeting her about 8pm and it's our first date and I don't know much about her so should I just take her back to my place watch movies and get her drunk ? Any other ideas?

No!!! As you said it yourself you don't even know her that well!!! What would you like to take her to your place???
Take her to some place that you can talk and get to know each other better. I don't think you have very good intentions when the only thing is to take her home and GET HER DRUNK??
What is your problem?? Treat her with respect, take her some where public to have dinner or something. Talk over dinner and exchange opinions, don't be in a rush to leave the table.
Take a walk, some place, make her feel a lady!!! And carry yourself as a gentleman!!!
If while and during this time you notice she is not ready to go home, then invite her over for few drinks. But don't just pick her up and take her to your place!!!! What kind of a date is that???

Sounds like a very special date...... NOT! Change your attitude first. What is it about this girl that you like so much? What are the hobbies that you have in common. Or do you know anything about it. Ummm.. taking her to your place and getting her drunk should at least wait until you actually decide you like the girl. If you really have no ideas (and maybe no money) go to a coffee shop instead and talk. Get to know her first. I personally like Sushi. You get to eat, have something to talk about (sushi is a good conversation piece, especially at the sushi bar). Then if all goes well..... take her back to the pad and get her drunk.

well if you go with your idea i'd think you just want some ***. which unless shes a slut...she prolly won't go for the whole lets get wasted on the first date. If you really like the girl for her..then maybe a dinner at a nice restaurant (does not include mcdonalds, burger king) and then afterwards maybe walk around down town, or a park and get to know her better.

- Tell her that she's going to the grocery store with you because you need to shop.
- Pick her up and go to a museum. They're often free, and you actually get to learn something at the same time.
- Play pool, air hockey, or something else that's FUN. It's cheap, too.
- Go to a mall or funky shopping area and just walk around.

you must have had some idea when you asked her out,just go with the flow and things seem to fall into place for themselves
Dont panic about not having any ideas or this will consume you and you can back it in,yr night out will be disastrous

take her out to eat...or order in if you really want to stay at your place... girls ususally like simple things for first dates... dinner and a movie is usually what a girl expects for a first date (well for me anyway)
