What I started doing besides going to the gym was having fruit smoothies for breakfast, regular lunch, then smaller dinner. I eventually cut back to no breakfast, small lunch and small dinner. It's all about portion control. I am never hungry after a meal and it takes 2 seconds for me to be full. Most of America is used to having about 3 times as much food as they really should. Try getting out and moving, the more you sit around and watch TV (or go on Yahoo answers) the less calories you burn and in turn store as FAT! So yeah.

I ALWAYS gain weight during winter!! But then lose it during the summer!! good thing winter's at my place are only for a period of 2 months! Drink plenty of water!! Exercise can be done without going to the gym! walk a lot! Cut down your sugar, salt, fat-food intake, and you'll do fine..

its really impossible not to gain weight in winter time because we all feel lazy and cold because of the weather and the fact that we still eat but not doing more tasks cause of the weather.
you can actually prevent it by trying to lessen your carbo intake and replace it with meat. those carbo foods are hard to digest by our body unlike others so that means less bread, less rice and less potato. people think those 3 are healthy foods and they are if you take the right amount.
thats my problem too every winter and i got tired and consult a doctor and she told me to lessen my carbo intake. i am not veggie lover or fruits so she suggest me to take more proteins, in that case, you'll feel full for long hours and its actually healthy.
but of course nothing will beats the 'exercise' just try to spend everyday at least 15 mins of walking for sure that will help.
i hope i help u a little good luck n take care

Its actually the OTHER way AROUND, you have got it wrong!
People GAIN weight in the winter and LOOSE weight in the summer... this is because winter is depressing and people consume more food and are less active because of the cold weather, whereas in the summer, our bodys are hot and our appetites are less and people become more active and are always outdoors..
To prevent gaining weight, just walk more or exercise in your house and eat less foods full of sugar, carbs and saturated fats.

your body burns more energy trying to stay warm. Winter also cause more stress and depression with less sun light. Avacadoes are the healthiest food for weight gain. you need to relax and have a few avacadoes each day.

both the vet didnt get it actual or the pal would of misunderstood. horses can and do benefit weight in the iciness. it is harder for some horses besides the undeniable fact that. the elements, age, and amout of workout can make putting weight on a horse harder. ive were given 2 pregnant mares and a gelding that looks pregnant. they have weight benefit throughout, as they are on a constrained volume of hay.they dont have hay bellies. one mare has copd, has to have bagged hay, so all of them get it approx 15lbs in line with day. i wager going being in iciness and all i'd quite have them overweight than skinny. if that vet did say that would hate to have my horses seen through him.
