Based on I.Q. tests given to members of different professions, pastors scored the lowest. The intelligence of some pastors is equivalent to that of an adult monkey, or a 3 year old child. Some border on retardation.

Oh come on.
Be real. Most pastors have, at minimum, a masters degree. Most that I know are doctors, have had to learn greek, hebrew, latin, and in some cases aramaic.
An adult monkey? A 3 year-old child?
My son is almost three and probably has a vocabulary of about 1,000 words.
The King James version of the bible alone has a vocabulary of 8,000 and these people must understand what they're teaching or will get run out of town on a rail.
If you're going to make a statement like this, you are going to have to give some proof.
Where is this study?
Who did the study?
Who paid for it?
What were they trying to prove?
Who gave the test?
What type of IQ tests were given?
There are a thousand questions that can go into this.

I think this is just a ploy. by someone who is trying to say; that just because a person is a pastor they are not intelligent.
I find it to be false, just because it singles out members of a profession who believe in a higher power (Yahweh/God).
Anyone who spreads gossip and lies, about a particular group of people; simply because they believe in Yahweh. Shows that individual is of low intelligence. Those who are of high intelligence, do not get involved in being part of spreading rumors and lies about others.
My father is a pastor and currently holds three degrees,one is a Master's; from a very good university.

Probably because the pastors that bothered taking the test are sunday pastors..
rock up on a sunday and preach..
that's why they had time to take the test instead of sharing with the world..
and if they are too silly to work out that they need to actually go and get more people saved, no wonder they fail IQ tests!

While it is true that the chance that you are an atheist rises with your education level, I don't think across the board that pastors are the dumbest people of all the professions. Many pastors are atheists...as it is also true that the chances you are an atheist rise with your level of knowledge about the Bible...and other holy texts.

although people of faith are narrow/single minded and usually biggoted through ignorance, they do have the potential to be intelligent, they just don't reach that potential because christianity advocates blind following of the teachings of the church and to question those teachings would be considered a mortal sin and labels the one seeking enlightenment as an agnostic.

Simple fact of the matter is, higher IQ and higher education correlate with higher rates of atheism.
Correlate -- meaning not absolute. There are some genius Christians and there are some stupid atheists. They're just less common than stupid Christians and smart atheists.

Yes its the truth. They are not required to have an education. Its beyond me. Dont understand how a supposid leader is not expected to have an education.There are deffinately too many children on here from the responses I have read.
