It is a good idea to talk to a doctor about you not being able to sleep. Your sleep pattern has been messed up due to your working schedule. I suggest that you try relaxation before sleeping a warm bath helps some and warm milk with a teaspoon of honey. If that dont help as far as relaxing you to help get ready for sleep, you can buy an herbal supplement called Melatonin 3 mgs it really helps so you will be able to get sleep without drugs. There are many techniques to make yourself sleep but these have helped me best. I am a winter insomniac and have been for many years so trust that I know and its a pain too to not be able to sleep and get the rest that is required for the body to recuperate. Please consult a dr before trying any drugs or over the counter medications . Relaxation techniques are easy to learn and practice makes perfect or at least better so give that a try . Good luck. Sweet dreams. get some zzzzzzzzzz's. Oh and if those don't help you can also try to imagine a little black dot that grows big in a room while your eyes are closed and imagine the dot getting bigger till it fills up the room in your mind and just sleep peacefully. Sounds weird but that can help out too. Hope this helps. good luck with sleeping . good night

The body uses a hormone melatonin to keep you on a daily schedule for good sleep . Shift work destroys the natural body rhythm. I did 12 hr night shift for a few months until I drove off the road coming home in they morning. There is no good way for this. If you have trouble sleeping naturally because of depression I say stay awake until you are tired then sleep well. Valium is made from the Valeria root . It used to be sold as an herb . Maybe you have found a new source of the plant.

you have switched day to night, why not let your internal clock reset it self its take about 2 weeks your body will re join you to restful sleep in the mean time 4 to 5 hours is enough till you can get to a doctor and ask for a sleeping pill if you still have problem please do not stay up three days you are only making thing harder to turn you clock back
