When a guy does not reply to your text / sms msgs. for more than 1 day, does that say something and should I ignore him when he replies?

He is ignoring your text messag for a reason. It means he is too busy with something else to reply. He will reply when he feels ready.
If and when he does reply, play it cool . In the meantime start working on the next guy.....this one doesn't sound that interested.

If you want to talk to a guy don't give him the silent treatment. It will probably bother you before it bothers him. But you could be unavailable for a while. When you do talk to him, be very casual and friendly, like you were too busy to notice, ...but it's great to hear from you, what have you been up to?.... Most guys tend to think that everything is about them. If he thinks that you could take it or leave it, he will probably be more attentive.

That depends. I had a guy totally blow off our friendship once just because my phone needed charging and I couldn't find the charger until twelve hours later and took that long to send back a text message. He accused me of not caring about him when, in fact, I really did and do. He was leaping to assumptions; and you might be, too.

give him space, if and when he replies... just answer back short and sweet. If he notices your "uninterest" then he will ask about your lack of attention which is like an invitation to continue being interested.
Hell you might even just ask him if he wants your attention or not. But then my husband and I have always had a more openenly spoken relationship.

only one day i wouldnt worry. my guy loses his cell a LOT (currently its been gone a week, and i live w/ him so i know its not an excuse), could be that, could just be typical guy not into the phone, could be trying to not seem overly anxious...i would give it a few days before you take it as a hint.

it means your not giving him enough space. just dont text him for a while and he'll eventually text you back. there could be a reason, so dont get mad. maybe he lost his phone. good luck!
