Pentagon Row, behind the Pentagon City Mall (across the highway from the Pentagon and one Metro stop away) has a number of inexpensive places. Baja Fresh, Saigon Gourmet, Noodles and Company, Sine' Irish Pub..all fit the under $15 range. Maggie Moo's Ice Cream too...yum! You can walk across the Pentagon parking lot, cross Army-Navy Drive and you're there.

There are no metro style lots near either location. There is some commercial parking near Pentagon City, at the mall there, however it is quite expensive: "Garage parking access is available from either 15th Street or Army-Navy Street. Weekday parking fees are: 0-2 hours ($1.50); 2-3 hours ($2); 3-4 hours ($3); 4-5 hours ($4); 5-6 hours ($6); 6-8 hours ($10); 8-10 hrs ($14); and 10-24 hrs ($16) " Gallery Place/Chinatown is one of the most difficult areas in the city to park at - and the commute in is terrible. My guess is you would find it worse than the busses. Can I suggest that living near Bailey's Crossroads, East Falls Church, which does have metro parking might be an option for you? The only issue with East Falls Church is that you need to get there relatively early in the morning. Or you could purchase one of those guaranteed metro parking contracts that cost more, but guarantee you a space before 10 AM.

Baja Fresh is excellent. Also, Noodles Company is also good and gives a great variety. Both are in "Pentegon Row"

Try 23rd street in Crystal City.

"Restaurant Row" they call it.
