No.
Religion by and of itself is fine. It gives so many a means to live. But I have a huge differentiation between religion and spirituality. Religion is responsible for so many of the ills on the planet. It is known that the Popes of the Catholic Church rewrote the Bible to manipulate the ignorant believers into a new state of thrall. Since most of the Popes were Medici or Borgias, and therefore of the Illuminati, to maintain their hold on the people, created the "omnipotence and infallibility" of the pope.
What frightens me are the people who use it as a tool to further polarize the human race. They lower the educational and intellectual abilities of a people and then teach the young the things necessary to capture their souls. Then they take the anger they have stirred up and use it to wage wars. I speak of ALL religions here. For example, the RC church managed to dumb down the people of Europe to maintain control of knowledge. Only priests and the very wealthy or educated could read. How many minds were lost?
In the modern age, the world is being pushed towards a religious war. The goal is to have the Muslims and the Christians kill each other off in the name of their religion. Then the survivors, Satanists, will just take over.
The Saudi Royal Family are behind most of the terrorism in Islam. The fundamentalist Islamic movement began in Arabia, created by the British, to instill confusion in the Muslim world. The Bush and Saudi families are very very close on many levels, including business.
I propose that both families work towards the same end with the rest of their Illuminati brethren. They make money on arms of course but they also are inciting the sides to war to achieve a deeper goal. It is an excellent way to lower the population of the planet as well.
In this way, religion terrifies me.
Taken to heart, in the original spirit of the religion, almost all are beneficial, not frightening. Misused, it is scary.
The only religion I feel no fear of is Buddhism.

absolutely not. I used to be extremely suicidal, also a non-practicing catholic. Since becoming a Christian, I've never been happier. I'm at peace even if we're prosecuted. I've gone on 2 mission trips, and have helped 3 other women launch a soup kitchen. ALL for the glory of God. When my mom died 3 and a half years ago, I truly didn't think I'd survive it, I went to a bible study and when asked what I hoped To get out of it and why was I here, I told them because I'm very angry at God right now and I hate Him. And I don't want to feel this way. Christianity is beautiful. Why did it cost me 50 years of unhappiness before I found God. Frighten me? Not on your life. If I was dying, I wouldn't be scared. Why? I've been saved I KNOW where I'm going and I'll be with God for eternity.

Yes and they sadden me because so many are deceived by religions. This is why I do not belong to any particular religion. I am a born again Christian and I do all the research myself and study with other Christians who think the same as I do. Checkout this website and read about some of the religions and their teachings.

Religion doesn't scare me... the followers of religions scare me because they do what they are told without thinking (yes, I'm generalizing because the question begs for generalizations). Religion encourages blind faith and discourages questions. People who give in to that DO scare me. But the religion itself I can dismiss.

At this 2d the Taliban is in open conflict with the folk of Pakistan. one million each physique is chased out of their residences and the various are murdered. The Taliban thinks they're doing he will of God. regrettably, the style of religious habit isn't unusual. each faith that believes in obligatory faith has the means to grow to be like the Taliban. in different places & different situations in historic previous Jews, Christians and Muslims have performed the comparable through fact the Taliban. i've got self assurance in religious freedom. you've self assurance what you like yet while a spiritual team thinks it has God's permission to compell others to persist with them they grow to be probably risky.

If you believe in a religion, then the world will end in a violent way.
If you don't believe, it will end in a violent way. What is there to be afraid of?
