A sour glass, Brent, is another name for a 5 oz. rocks-style glass, used when serving sours.
The bartender's recipe for a whiskey sour is
2 oz Whiskey (well brand, unless specified)
3 oz Sweet & Sour Mix (also known as sour mix, bar mix, or bar lemon)
Shake with ice and pour into a 5 oz rocks glass, garnish with an orange and cherry flag.
Bartenders typically have carbonated sour mix set up on their mixer gun. However, if you don't have sour mix, a good recipe for sour mix is to mix one part heavy syrup (3 parts sugar, 2 parts water) with one part lemon juice. You can add 2 egg whites per liter of mix (as this helps it obtain a foamy consistency), but this is optional. If you're mixing these at home, then making your own sour mix is nice, because you can adjust the sugar syrup and lemon juice ratio to make it sweeter or more tart, based on personal preference.
Hope that helped!
