the jumpin around and barking means that he wants to go meet the dog that he is barking at. If you don't want this behavior, the what you need to do is get the dogs focus on you. If the dog is ignoring you, then you do not have his respect and his attention and therefore he will not do what you ask of him. you can ask your trainer specifically what to do. If they can not help you you need to find a new trainer. Because aggression is trainned into dogs through frustration. and that is how they train fighting dogs from young pups by refusing to let the dogs sniff each other until frustration sets in and they take their frustration out on each other. you need to terach your dog that you are more important than anything going on in it's surroundings; and in the long run you will be better off for it because your dog will learn to turn to you for guidance through tense situations.

He actually sounds like he is being friendly. At 6mnths old a puppy does not yet know aggression, and what they want to do is play. What you want is for your pup to be LESS friendly and more docile.

Good luck with that.
