This is just one of those things that will work itself out in time. I have two big dogs and got a new small breed pup for Christmas. My two big ones would do the same thing...like they were frightened of this 2 pound little thing. Anyhow, it took about 5 or 6 days and now you can't separate them. Best of luck to you. Just remember to show extra attention to your older dog, she may be feeling jealous.

Let the dogs hang out together unless you see clear warning signs of aggression. These include - hackles raised, stiff legged walking, freezing in place, low growling, raised lips to show teeth, and if you miss all of these signals, you'd want to stop constant bullying of the pup by the older dog. Sometimes, the way dogs play can look scary to humans - but knowing what the real signs of trouble are will help you a lot. Your new pup needs to learn how to communicate with other dogs - the worst thing you could do is to constantly interrupt their playing, or separate them.
If your older dog is tense around the pup, don't ever give them a reason to fight. Treat your older dog for calm behavior around the pup. Make it rewarding for your older dog to hang out with the puppy, but don't ever give them valuable things that they would then fight over. Separate them at feeding time and when you give them chewies etc. Good luck!
