ok so i have a boyfriend i am soooo in love with i have no doubt about that! but i use to like this guy "john" and i liked him for 2 years but nothing ever happend but we were the closest of friends! we havent talked in over a year and i found out from a friend he has a girlfriend now why do i feel like ive lost something? why do i feel jealous? ug please help!

Sorry there's no help for your biological programming. Women have been in love with thier own emotions from the begining of time, and that is not going to change.
You feel jealous because you lost something you can't have know plain and simple.
Look I'm sure your last friend was a nobody yesterday. But after you heard he got a girlfriend. you were the first person to call him saying "Uhmmm yea me and my girlfriend were having a ******** contest and we needed a judge to find out who was better."

It's human nature to feel possesion over something you wanted. I'm sure you have ex-boyfriends, don't you still get a little irritated when you see them with someone else? You had a crush that was unrequited, somewhere in the back of your mind you're still waiting. It doesn't mean anything about yourcurrent relationship, it happens to everyone. Just put it away and don't focus on it, you'll be fine.
