Try wrapping it up at night, as long as it's natural and you dont overprocess it somehow it should grow just as fast as anyone else's. Wash it once or twice a week max. And dont use the flat iron the ones with the stove/oven. Use the other flat irons that reach temps between 350 and 450.

I know this will seem odd. But the best thing you can do for you hair is to LEAVE IT ALONE. I used to have your same problem. My hair took off growing when I got really busy my freshman year at college and couldn't do anything to it. I would literally get up in the morning and rub my hand across the top to make it look half decent and leave. And I noticed my hair grew like weeds. All the brushing combing, washing, relaxing and whatever else us black women tend to do to our hair just doesn't give it time to grow. Just get you hair where you need it and then leave it. Let it do what it does best... grow.

Yes cut your split ends on a regular basis, use olive oil produts like shampoo, coditioner, hair mayonaise. You also might want to grease your scalp on a daily basis. And when you sleep at night protect your hair with a head wrap.

Make sure you get your ends trimmed every 6 weeks. It prevents breakage which is why your hair seems to always stay the same length; it's breaking off.
GOOD LUCK!
