Hello! I'm in California and I would like to hear other experiences who may have gone through what I'm going through. The father of my child has not seen or made no effort to see his daughter since birth. Despite what has gone on between us and we are no longer friends or anything I will not take his right to have a relationship with her, as well as my daughter. That is if he comes around in time. It's only his lost. Anyways, my question is because my daughter is on blue cross / med cal and child support services need his medical insurance to and he isn't responding to anything...letters / notices / etc...and I told them he won't. He has no intention of seeing his daughter and or paying. At the least that is his dad talking to him, because in his family it's about power and money. They told me at the agency that if he doesn't do anything they will just put liens on him / take his license / and taxes. I know they can do anything, but isn't that harsh. Than again, it's cruel he .

he isn't supporting his child and in the long run it gonna be him who's hurting , huh? I have full legal and phy. custody and he has no visits since he doesn't intend to make them. Though he has to help me 50/50 in everything...guess he will learn huh?

He has responsibility to his child whether he sees him or not. He should keep insurance on your son and if you check with a lawyer, I believe that can be enforced. I feel so bad for your son, but it sounds like he has enough love from you to make up for his so called dad. Good luck.

I am from Virginia, But I have delt with the Dept. of Child Support Enforcement. My step-father left my mom and when she got child support he refused to pay it. Any way long story short he got behind $2,000. DCSE finally started paying but he is now facing jail because of nonpayment, ( they have aleady taken his paychecks, his license, etc. he still wont pay). DCSE is a pain to deal with sometimes, but they also can get a lot done. You just have to stay after them, Call them constantly, ask them about the status of your case, etc. Good luck!! I hope he realizes he really messed up.

I have 6 yr old twins...their dad owes me roughly $17.000 in child support...for the insurance part of it...they just need to contact his employer and get the info and they will start taking the payment portion out of his check and possibly start garnishing his wages for child support...my ex swtiches jobs whenever they start garnishing him...he has his license suspended for non payments and a $4000.00 bench warrant out for non payment...but still runs loose and has fun...good luck!!
