From what I have heard, the pope has forbidden Christians to read this gospel. I suppose the reason is that this Gospel of Barnabas states that Jesus (pbuh) was a man and a Prophet.- Not God or son of God. The Gospel of Barnabas was written by a disciple of Jesus (pbuh). The Christians, however, choose to believe the gospel of some later Christians who spread lies about Jesus (pbuh).
