All of the programs linked below are totally free.
They have varying capabilities, some will do layers, others have a lot of effects. Try several, and you will be well equipped for free. I won't say any of these are as good as photoshop, or even close, but I WILL say that between two or three well selected free programs, you should be able to do most everything you want to do!

Photoshop isn't a freeware yet there are different comparable freeware procedures. you are able to attempt GIMP.it quite is attainable for the two homestead windows and linux systems.It has quite sturdy and beneficial factors adequate for a n intermediate person, yet while it comprises expert imaging, am particular not something can journey the Adobe Photoshop.

Infranview will do a LOT, but it will NOT do layers like Photoshop.

yah, Supposedly. The GIMP is good.. but, i don't think as good personally.. But hey, it's free isnt it? So thats always good :)

Gimp is supposedly as good as photoshop.
