I went to Mission Teens instead of going to jail. Mission Teens is a Christian alternative to rehabilitation. There are currently 13 centers across the United States. Their purpose is to provide hope to the hopeless through Jesus Christ. The program is absolutely FREE. I went to try to avoid being sentenced to prison. What I found was a new way to live. Jesus gave me another chance at life. I am still drug free after completing the program in July of 2005. I am not perfect and I still have my struggles but God has made an awesome, dramatic change in my life. Thanks to his grace, I was sentenced to probation and I will be graduating college in May 2007!! You can find information on this program at

I know that I cannot do it alone. I need God's help.

If they went in being a meth addict they sure are after prison. Drugs are very easy to get while in prison. I've known several people who knew people that were meth users and went to prison, all the meth user did was still be a meth user and branch out to other criminal areas until they are caught again and they go back to prison. It is a vicious circle.

Unfortunately they are just thrown out with little to grab onto. They now have a criminal record that will not look good when it comes to getting a job, and they have learned how to be real criminals behind bars.
Hopefully there are family and friends on the other side ready to help the individual get into rehab, or pick up the pieces. But chances are they develop a bigger network!!! Exactly why punishment should be forced rehabilitation and NOT jail.
Good reason to avoid all drugs if you have an addictive / destructive personality!

where do they all go? well back to the streets, home, back to jail, they die. that`was a very vague open question. they go where they want to go, there are treatment centers all over the country, but they have to want to go to one and go with a positive attitude knowing that it will be hard, most will fail, few with recover. you have to be a very strong person to over come drug addiction. not only will you need the treatment center but you will need support around you, a new environment, new friends, and continuous therapy. its like smokers Gross habit to start with a horrible ending, but a choice is a choice
