I know that not ALL bakery boxes are pink (as noted, some are white or other colors) but they frequently are, especially cakes, pies, sweet pastries, etc... Many grocers with an in-store bakery use them for sweet pastries. It seems to be standard in many places and I wonder if there's a specific reason...

I'd suppose it's because women typically have bought stuff from bakeries, and stereotypically thier favorite color is supposedly pink.

Since when are bakery boxes pink? I never saw a pink one in Canada and I bake and I cook
foods! I've seen pale blue ones and mostly light brown or white. Some Pizza boxes do have pink lettering!

Not all of them are. Some are pink, just to make it look fresh, and delicate!!!
