Where is the humbleness gone? The biggest stumbling block towards self purification is, feeling that others are less enlightened than you. It is not a fight between religions and showing one-upmanship.

Any religion that does not inspire you to be humble, should not in fact be practiced.

I myself am an ignorant Hindu. May God bless!

Where did yo ugather your statistics from?

Most of the non-islamic movements today are carried out in the west. Most of the muslims claim that their religion is the best and support Jihaad against the whole non muslim community.

India is the country where maximum nos. of hindus reside. And to bring in to your kind knowledge, the population of muslims in this country is far more than many other muslim countries. The only country which allows every religion to praactice it's customs independantly. Hindu is one of the religions which does not enforce people for conversion.

Which practice are you talking about? The ones that date back to 15th century are gone. This is year 2007. buddhism and Hinduism are the only religions that preach humbleness, respect and peace.

You consider yourself as an ignorant hindu. I suggest you should go for a conversion into any religion and find out its pros and cons. Untill then you won't understand the liberty offered to you by this very unique hindu culture...

:-)

How can you say that you are an ignored Hindu . Problem is everywhere if you visit Kerala and stay there for a month you can see the most ugliest seen you might have ever seen the priest of each Christian church will fight each other for money , power and other reasons . There is also low and high cast between Christians and Muslims . There are churches which are divided into low cast church and high cast church in Kerala (India).
Which are belong to different community . In Hindu or Muslims pilgrim places there is no such separation . Hindu’s and Muslims are living here in harmony for eg Shabarimala is a place where Hindu pilgrims visit a Muslim mosque first then they will go to the temple . Where as the Christians tried to destroy the harmony bur failed ( Nilakkal church ) Now you might have understand that who is trying to destroy the harmony .

I think it is not just limitied to some Hindus denouncing other religions. There are some Muslims, some Christians , some Jews ..... ( I think a subset of members of all the religions) always think that there religion is the best and what others are practicing is all crap. Hinduism is the most tolerant of all the religions - if you go deep into it that is. It actually never talks of forced conversion but a person can practice its teachings any time whatever religion he belongs to. Real religion gives the correct way of life to all. It is humans with their weaknessses, selfish and ulterior motives who distort the actual meaning in the old scriptures to their advantage.

Those people who take pride in denouncing other religions are ignorant and not well versed in true spirituality where you firmly believe that God is within all of us irrespective of what religion, caste, creed, tribe, race or nation we belong to.

It is not true, Hindus are not ignorant. Hindus won't claim they are the only religion recognised by God, as Muslims do. They don't claim their sacred book is the real one dictated by God, as Muslims claim Koran has given directly by god & Christians claim Bible is the one. In India Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, etc. are enjoying the freedom more than anywhere in the world, because of Hindus. Hindus worship everything in the world - like cow, fire, rain, sun, or anything, for that you need a big heart.

thinking there are only approximately one thousand million Hindus immediately, its a secure guess to declare there'll nevertheless be plenty in 2020 or maybe 2100. "lots" would be incredibly subjective. If the elders see 2 youngsters in a small community bypass away Hinduism they might call that "lots." additionally, the straightforward actuality is that each and each technology complains with reference to the failure of the subsequent technology. actually, they have been doing it because of the fact the discovery of writing. subculture is changing in India. i'm guessing that a super sort of caste policies are not from now on being observed by ability of many (and that i don't have self assurance the government even recognises castes anymore), yet only because of the fact human beings are not following old policies does no longer mean they are forsaking their gods and their ideals. certainly, the thought religions are meant to proceed to be stagnant and unchanging creeps the hell out of me. How is a faith meant to handle my existence if its in line with an out-of-date subculture?

Hinduism is a way of life and the religion is most tolerant unlike other religions. However hardliners are there in every religion , but by and large Hindus do not denounce other religions.

There is no such relegion as hinduism.
Hinduism got its name from britishers as it was near river indus. It is sanatan dharma means for all.
It is amatter of fact that if god is one then why so many relegion. thats because all relegion were delivered as per conscience of different people level.
there were so many examples of goodness and humbility in vedic times. But as time has changed things also have tumbled down.

I agree you are probably an ignorant Hindu but at least you got the other religions right. May you omit the fake god and find goodness to bless your life.
