No I would never defame the military, please remember that the military doesn't make the decisions the President and the congress does. I write a weekly news letter and have for several years. I may say some thing about the president that isn't very flattering but I don't find fault with what he does as far as the running of the war. Remember that when you say things bad about the president during a conflict you are giving aid and comfort to the enemy. A enemy rejoices in dishevel, and will really the troops around it. having said all of that yes you do have the right but I say that you should think like an American first and a democrat or republican second.

Only if done in an unpatriotic manner. If done with the spirit of concern, or positive results .... it is for the benefit of the nation and its personnel.

Notice how they only scream "UNPATRIOTIC !" when it's the Democrats criticizing a Republican President or if it's the Republicans criticizing a Democrat President ???

The concern is only for their own party and not the nation.

of course not your practicing your right of free speech and if you don't speak your mind about what you think is right than your not exercising the right that this very country gave you.
Caring enough to want to question the war is not unpatriotic

Of course not. Re-evaluation is the key to success. If our president is too stubborn to look at reality, the military will continue to do the job they were trained to do - protect and defend. They certainly know how to do their job, even if the prez. does not.

It depends on how it is done. If it is done in such a way that it helps the enemy it is not patriotic. The way Cindy Sheehan and Jane Fonda do it is unpatriotic bordering on treason, they don't just disagree and dissent, they bash and drag the nation down with them. If you do it the way Colin Powell does it, it is honest disagreement and positive criticism and thus patriotic.

i'm not too crazy about people who criticize/rebuke the military: it consists of people who take orders from their surperiors, i often criticize the people who make the decisions and control the military though. criticizing is ok. servicemen risked their lives and shed blood so that we may have this freedom, and they still do.

just don't be one of those people who do nothing but cry and complain and critic, and then do nothing about it when it comes time for elections. if you really want your voice to count, take it to the polls. don't just sit and complain.

It is if you are protesting in the steets, buring flags, spitting on returned servicemen REALLY ANYONE WHO DOES THAT as they did with Vietnam, should be made to take their place or just shot !

If you don't agree than lobby peacefully for change and powerfully at the ballot, but don't spit on troops !

It's unpatriotic NOT to speak out against a wrong that our President is committing in our name. He works for US. HE must do OUR bidding. He is OUR servant!!!!!
