when i connected -VCC supply on pin no. 7 of opamp IC lm741, the negative voltage reflects on input pin no. 3 of the IC. when i remove -VCC, the correct input voltage appears on pin no.3. but without -VCC amplification will not be possible. can anybody help me?

You need two supplies to drive a '741. A negative supply (usually between -12 and -15 volts with respect to ground) and a positive supply (connected, IIRC, to pin 7) of the same voltage magnitude and, again, wrt ground.

Do you have the positive supply connected?

pin 7 is for the +Vcc. The -Vcc should go to pin 4
