I guess they missed the day when the teacher told everyone about Sodom and Gomorrah. Being gay is clearly a major sin of the cities, read the story....

I don't know if there are any more 'gay' priests than there are 'heterosexual' priests. What kinds of data does anyone have to backup the claim that there are 'so many gay priests.'?
You imply that reading the Bible would keep someone from being gay. That is ridiculous. Being gay isn't something someone chooses. Being gay is simply part of one's being. If reading the Bible were to keep someone from being gay then i wouldn't be gay. Because I read the Bible for years and prayed that God would 'heal' me of being gay.
Guess what: God did not 'heal' me of being gay. But I was, slowly, healed of my own fear of being gay.

While I don't neccessarily believe in having gay priests, if we stopped everyone who was doing something God doesn't like becoming a priest than we probably wouldn't have many. Remember that gluttony is also a sin. Think about how many overweight priests there are. It not our place to judge. That's God's job.

There is no direct saying in the Bible that says it is wrong to be gay.
In Genesis it says that woman was created to be man's PARTNER. It can mean a friend or husband.
There are no gay priests what are you talking about?

in the catholic religion, from what I have heard, catholic priests are gay because they are not allowed to be married. This is a wonderful way and convienent way for a gay man to hide. It has nothing to do with the bible or religion. That is window dressing.

I like your first question, it is strange that they're gay. Perhaps they entered into the priesthood to suppress these feelings-and remaining celebate so they wouldn't commit a sin. But I really don't think homosexuality is wrong. For all those self-righteous christians I assume your religion also points out god as the only judge. Assholes.

First of all, they're not "gay" in the way you're implying it. They aren't homosexual teleiophiles, they're homosexual pedophiles. Homosexual ONLY refers to the gender. Teleiophile and pedophile refer to AGE. When people refer to "homosexuals" they're technically referring to homosexual teleiophiles (people who are primarily attracted to adults of the same sex). A homosexual pedophile is a person who is attracted to CHILDREN of the same sex.
And there are homosexual pedophiles in all walks of life. Just because the media went crazy looking for them doesn't mean it's as rampant a problem as it's made out to be.
By the way, gay people (that would be homosexual teleiophiles) don't CHOOSE to be gay. Did you forget to read all of the current studies? Haven't you checked with the APA lately? The Bible got it wrong.

most bibe scholars and theologians alike don't say that but to give into homosexual urges is the sin .I think it is a mutant gene affecting the brain and mindset towards deviant behavior and will one day be cured but has nothing to do with sin in light of modern day knowledge .So it's technically wrong and so is belief in god the sadistic hell hole bullying moron who couldn't even see through his first son satan when falsely accusing JOB. If you want to fool intelligent critically minded people of this age get a better written tome. Other wise don't try to push the mediocrity of your false god on anyone with a well developed mind in this era of available knowledge .

Rectories are havens for gay men. Priests have job security, a monthly cash allowance, at least three solid meals a day and a place to live in privacy with men.

there are alot of gay priests because they found refuge in their feelings with their beliefs by abstaining but realized they may not be able to abstain.
It is not wrong to be gay. It is like those born with genius, handicap, etc, it is just different.
It is gross to straight people but that is because you are straight so get over yourself and realize that some people are born this way, just are blacks, athiests, muslims, christians, girls, whites, mexicans, etc.
