My mum was my best friend until she passed away 8 months ago. She passed at the age of 60, I am 38 and I am lost without her. All my friends still have their mothers and it seems so unfair that I do not have mine.I still need my mum. We were so close, I miss the long phone calls we had every night even if we had been together during the day. we always went shopping together, went for meals and we never kept a secret from each other. When she was diagnosed with cancer and had to travel every 3 weeks to the UK for chemo as in Gibraltar my hometown their are no oncologists, it was me that she wanted to go with her. We had to go so many times back and forth, I had to leave my 4 kids with my husband every single time but my mum needed me and I knew that when everything was over I could have all the time in the world with my husband and children. Even though I am very sad at the loss of my mum I am also grateful for all the happy times I had with her.

My mom was abusive and none of us were close to her or each other, either, but she's in a nursing home and can't hurt us anymore, so I and one of my brothers is starting to make peace with her. I have another brother and sister who I haven't seen in 25 years or more because they took off after highschool and never contacted anyone.

Yeah, I'm 12 and she knows almost everything about me. We laugh together and we can't even yell at eachother seriously. If we get mad at eachother we just totally forget about it.

my mom and i get along but my mom dont really care about me i,ve lived this way out place i been sick for 2 months. i never seen are heard from my mom.but when her member at her church get sick she break her neck to care for them.i been treated this way all my life iam use to it and that we we speak and just get along but she dont love me i know it and i have excepted that she have 11 children and she has her pick who she love out of her kids.

i love my mom! but i'm not close to her, our attitude is totally opposite & we don't get along good, always have a lil argument! its because i don't grew up with her but she always send financial support for me & my siblings!

well i'm a guy..and 21yrs...and i'm EXTREMELY close to her.....she is my best friend...i really dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing, but shes my momma! and i love her to death! she's my all~
