I know everyone has thought about death before. Everyone is seemingly afraid of it but at the same time its supposed to be soo great because you get to live in heaven for all eternity or something. I my self find life so amazing that i believe that something is out there after we die... no matter what it turns out to be i think there is something out there after we die. Now, my question to you guys is, what is your take on the "life after death situation"? im curious to see what other people think.

Well it is said that right before a person dies their life flashes before their eyes. I suspect this is a type of refresher of all the things you've done. So that when you enter the beyond you can judge yourself. In that place there would be no mental defect you would see and know all you've done and would pass judgement upon yourself.

A God would not get involved in this for the same reason a God will not get involved in human affairs while we live. We exist not to be puppets at the whim of a God but to learn & grow. If a God gets involved at all then it takes away from your ability to learn on your own and limits the amount to which you can grow.

After we judge ourself we are reborn to live again and to try and make better decissions then we did the last time. Perhaps this is why there is a shift away from the brutal nature of religion and towards a more tollerant attitude! Perhaps humanity is learning that violence in the name of anything is still evil. It doesn't matter if it is a God's name, a Devil's name or a churches name, it is just wrong!

How's that for imagination!

I dont think theres life after death. When I first realized that I believed this I grieved my past belief of heaven because it was something that I desired, and belived, and I will never attain. I never existed before this life, so why was it so important that I exist after it? I'm beginning to be okay with this way of thinking. The world will continue on without me someday, but for now, I have the wonderful opportunity of being here and enjoying the moment.

I'm not a Christian, I don't believe in heaven or eternal life.

No one knows for sure what happens when you die. I would like to believe that there is an afterlife where I will feast with my ancestors and Gods, if Tyr willing in Asgard. But I am smart enough to admit I do not know what lies beyond. I have had NDEs and they have pointed me in the direction of my current faith, Asatru.

I know this will raise a few eyebrows and other things but I don't have a care. I already died, I was crucified with Christ, It is no longer I that lives but Christ that lives in me. It's the real truth about real Christians. Death has been defeated. We have eternal life not eternal death.

I don't think there's life after death, but I really wish there was. Does that make sense? I want Heaven to exist but I have trouble believing that it does.

You would want to meditate and find the void that others use to guide your life and take total control of private/personal/social/public life so you can live untraceable. Then selfless living would be how you would live so you could find that perfect existence.

We return to our spirit form for a while, depending on if you were good or bad you spend a few or a few thousand years in Paradise or hell. Then at some point Jesus will resurrect our body's to their perfect form. After that he will judge us on how well we held our estate here on earth.

I don't want to be a slave to desire even if my desires are fulfilled. I only want one life.
