i have some orion 10 200 rms at 4 ohms and they are only 87dbs so i want to know how many watts it would take to power them without burping the notes

Always go by the watts RMS when in doubt.

200 rms, that is the key to how much power you should be pushing through those. 200 rms watt per channel amp is the max (with out them having any damage) that they will handle safely.

Probably 700+, better ask a subwoofer shop owner or someone professional.
