im sure youre all pretty familiar with me and my puppy tracer. lol bc i ask something all the time about her :(
well now its distemper!! her parvo came back positive because she was vaccinated the day before.... now im on the hunt for a holistic vet somewhere within a few hundred miles of north louisiana. Ive come across a few in dallas but its 12am and i cant call em now. me and my husb will be dressed and ready to go in the morning around time vets open so im going to need a few more options!! ive got 2, and 1 in new orleans (but thats like 6 hours away) does anyone know of any searches i can use for that? or know of any in that area (long shot, i know)
ive done my homework and decided holistic is the way to go... but theyre hard to find around here! i wouldve gone today- but the "tell tale" sign of distemper just showed up this afternoon. before i knew nothing about distemper! and i trusted that my vet knew everything! anyway... any holistic advice? where to look?

NO WAY, she still has a chance. When there is no hope for recovery, if she has no quality to her life we will have to. right now she still has a chance. shes gonna be a normal puppy again!

Gees people on here are stupid. I'm sorry I can't help you as far as where to go for a vet however you should check out this stuff for her Parvo as well as boost her immune system.

Holistic IS the way to go so good job. Thanks for doing the right thing for your baby. I have a tea which is helpful for her too if you want. It's long though so e-mail me if you want the recipe. It's off the Parvaid site.

Edit: WT?? Distemper is a perfectly treatable disease. What a bunch of idiots.

I'm from NE LA also and I have no knowledge of any holistic vets around here (and that drive to Dallas - ouch). If all else fails, you might can go to a normal vet and see if they can treat your puppy the way you want or if they can tell you of any holistic vets around the area. Good luck with the puppy.

about two months ago me and my husband bought an english bulldog puppy, well come to find out he had distemper, and started having seizures...there is no cure, and 70% of them die. You are better off having him put down.
