Or is it just the media hyping up the single life.

Do not believe it. So many singles are lonely and bitter. It seems glamorous but more like they are mostly sitting at home munching on stale cookies.

It depends. Personally I think it's the media, for me being single is Valentine's Days full of wine, chocolate, and Lifetime. Plus you have so many diseases to worry about for a sexy party everynight. Besides there is the whole stage of having to approach people or haveing to fight off pervs who've approached you. If you have a significant other who loves you consider yourself seriously seriously lucky.

JUST CUZ UR SINGLE DON'T MEAN U GO OUT AND HAVE SEX EVERYDAY WITH A DIFFERENT PERSON I HONESTLY THINK TYHAT JUST MAKES U A SLUGHT BEING SINGLE GIVES U A FREEDOM TO DO THINGS U USALLY WOULDN'T DO WHEN U ARE IN A RELATIONSHIP NOT NECCESATRALUY ABOUT SEX.

I like being single...but then again I am only 18 and I have my whole life ahead of me.
