What about pound cake, angel food cake, or plain cheesecake? None are too sweet, and you can turn them all into lovely, tasty desserts by adding fresh fruit and cool whip, if you want. Not only are they not too sweet, but they're certainly healthier than a lot of other options!

Good luck!

Something that I really like to make and trust me on this..it is always a big hit.. !! Try making a trifle layered with your favorite fruit, custard, and some type of cake. For example. I make my own poundcake..not too sweet or use a packaged poundcake. Make homemade vanilla custard or buy vanilla pudding (not recommended). Then use some fresh raspberries, strawberries and blackberries (whatever you like). Mix the berries with a small amount of turbinado sugar a little vanilla extract or favorite liquer, a little lemon juice and let them sit for an hour to get nice and juicy . Then layer all ingredients starting with thin slices of the cake, then custard, then berries, repeat in a large dish or bowl. Cover this and let it sit in the fridge for an hour or two. This is a really great dessert. Not too sweet. You can also use different flavors of cake, different types of custard, and all kinds of fruit. Have Fun!
