CJ, Maybe you are one of those christians, I dont know. But I am wondering what the other christians understand to be the reason behind the bad christians. The ones that behave like all atheist are evil, muslims are evil, this is a christian nation etc etc. If christians believe in God, then how do they explain the goings on, with these other christians many people must suffer under. I think that explained it well enough, I hope :0

Actually when I was a christian I noticed it also. I thought all people were nice friendly and wise, so when I met christians on the street preaching I would naively assume they were friendly, didn't I get a shock. Also people in my own church. Many christians on tv are ignornat, childish and rude. And it seems to be the more of a believer the more rude they become.

I really don't see hate in most Christians. I know that there seems to be a lot more on here than there is anywhere else that I have3 met and talked with Christians. There are a number of people here that act as though they are Christians that have no idea who Christ was or what HE stood for. HIS WORDS cut the Jews that were not following GOD's LAWS to the quick. They were not able to answer HIS questions because HE knew much more than they did about the LAW. HIS death, burial, and resurrection is our ticket to heaven if we follow what was written in the New TEstament.
Study these scriptures and see what you think. To become a Christian:
1. We must HEAR GOD’s WORD. - Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
2. We are told to BELIEVE. - To the Prison guard in Acts 16:31 Paul and Silas said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
3. We must REPENT (turn from) of our sins. - Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.
4. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST before men. - Matthew 10:32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
5. We are to enter the waters and BE BAPTIZED. - Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
6. We are told to CONTINUE TO BE FAITHFUL until death. - Revelation 2:10b Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Send me a note if you have questions. I am anxious to hear from you. Have a Great day.

I think your view on Christians is somewhat jaded. I do realise that there are angry Christian out there and there do seem quite a few using answers.(sorry no offense meant) But in my experiences most of the Christians I have met have been filled with love. As for the others I can see how life can bring people down to a level where hate enters their lives. It's a daily battle to keep anger out of our lives. But a battle we must win.

WOW, CJ couldn't have said it any better, so I'm going to cut and paste his answer here again:
QUOTE
But here's where the world has a misconception about Christians.... They think that because a Christian believes that the only way to Heaven is through Christ, that they are "intolerant" and "hate filled". The world thinks that because a Christian obeys the Word of God and rejects what God says is evil, ie... .abortion, homosexuality, false religions, etc, that they are being "hate filled". If a Christian speaks out against anyone who blasphemes their Lord and Savior, the world immediately claims that Christian is full of "hate".
A Christian listens to what the Word of God says. They love what God loves, and despises the things God despises. We're not answerable to the world. We are answerable to God. And Jesus said, "....the world will hate you, for My names sake." And we accept that. It sure is ringing true moreso today.
My question to you..........what are your motives for asking this question of Christians? Are you trying to make a case for them being "hateful". If so, you failed. END QUOTE

Honestly I do not think it is most of us but those that are happen to be the loudest and most annoying. As with any other hateful person their hate comes from fear which is directly related to ignorance. This is why I seek to understand others. That way I know I will not misrepresent Christ as hateful and can help spread peace. Most people want peace regardless of ideology. It is both easier and more productive than picking senseless arguments. God is Love. Why should I not be kind to all people then? I feel sorry for that type of Christian you mention and I pray they someday get the point of Christ's teachings rather than simply memorizing verses to quote to people who don't read them.

Your question is vague. I don't see Christians running around hating people. If a person is truly a Christian, they make every effort to love others.

I don't think any true Christians are filled with hate. If you know some hate filled people who claim to be Christians then they are probably deceived because the Holy Spirit of God would bring conviction upon them and cause them to repent.

Many are christians because their parents were one, it does not work so much that way. Each one born, should call unto his creator and find out what He has to offer. He offered us His life, thats more than love. The love Jesus showed us will take away our hate, if and only if we want to.

A lot of them are not true followers of Christ although they are believers of Christ. Others are just immature and have not yet let go of some worldly issues yet.
