Most people have their views on god and what happens after you die.. I personally have never been able to decide. I like to believe because i like the idea that there is someone or something that i could go to for help when i need it. At the same time its hard to believe because theres nothing to see to prove he/she is there. Has anyone found something that has helped them out in deciding on wether or not to believe?.. cuz ive been torn in half for a while

I have my fiance. I don't need to or want to believe in god, who is usually cruel and mean and always killing people when I have my fiance who is loving, sweet, and would die for me. But that's just me. Everyone needs their own reasons.

Yes it is possible to tell andto find accurate knowledge from God and that he is there, you can find out the answers to all your questions that you posted here, and more!just to list a few: why we grow old and die what happens to us when we die do we have an immortal soul does God care about us, why does God allow so much sufferingWho is God who is Jesus Christ What is the purpose of Life, Is God real, how we can know what religion is approved by God, how can we know which is the true religion, what will the future bring to,is it possible to talk to dead loved ones who made the devil what really goes on in hell all hoe do we know if we are living in the last days? These questions and many more are answered in the Bible I would happily help you find them and help you make informed choices as to wether to believe and how to know the real truth. And you can benefit greatly by learning about God and building a relationship with him you will be able to know him and go to him to receive help when you need it and give him praise for the things he will do for you. I have certainly found out how I could believe and why I should and that he truly is there for us always and we need not be torn wonder about anything because God knows all the answers we need and he has put them all in the Bible for us, so that we can know the truth and the truth can and will set us free and that freedom is true freedom that helps us to make informed decisionsabout anything in life. There certainly is something that proves that he is and he is also alive and well and ready to help us at any time we need him, I have personally experienced his help many times and seen the proof that he truly does existbecause he answered a lot of prayers mine included but of course I can only speak of my answered prayers

You ask an honest question and everybody deals with the god question. If you were to think a bit outside of the box, perhaps there is an answer but you (we) so far lack the imagination and science to see what god is all about. Maybe we all are god. The universe becoming self aware in manifold ways through the eyes of creatures like us. Death is a reality that becomes even more profound as you grow older, but maybe when you die you become god again, something like that. I don't claim to have the imagination of truly perceiving what "reality" really is - maybe heaven does await. Just not under the rules stipulated to by the Churches of the world.

I grew up with a Pagan father and a mother who was a spiritual Atheist, so I didn't have alot of exposure to The Bible as I was growing up. However, I was taught by my parents that there was something else out there ... whether it was a deity or simply energy. As a young adult, I read the gospels in The Bible ... the story of Jesus's birth, death, and resurrection. Something just clicked with me. That part felt true. However, there were other things about Christianity that I just didn't seem to understand or agree with -- especially the creation story of Genesis and, well, most of the Old Testament actually. I also didn't believe in the idea of Hell as a place of torment, but simply a seperation from God. After alot of study and alot of prayer, I finally became comfortable with my beliefs. Good luck in whatever path you choose to take!

Follow Acts 2:38. Then you can experience God. You will be able to FEEL His presense. And when you speak in that unknown language, you will know without any doubt that God has moved inside and he will you with anything that you need help with, and the Holy Ghost will lead you in all Truth!

I was on the fence on day a while back probably, then I looked around and saw all the terrible crap is happening in the world. Thats when I decided there was no god, I refuse to believe in a god who would allow such terrible things to happen in the world.

In matters of human love I've always seen reality following after the belief. I think it may be the same way with God. I.e. believe and you will see.

I believe that whatever a person believes concerning an afterlife is true for them. Its all relative to the person. So whether there is or there isn't an afterlife all depends, in my mind, on whether you believe there is one. Its a matter of having hope.

Steve, faith is all about not seeing. If you seen then there would be no grounds for belief. God is all around us and if you take a step of faith and ask Jesus into your heart, God will reveal himself to you in a big way.

If you want to know the truth, here is how you start.

Father, forgive me of my sin. I believe Jesus died for my sins, and that you raised Him up from the dead for my justification. So I ask Jesus to come into my heart right now and be my Lord and Savior, in Jesus name, Amen. (verbally confess this)

Well for me I just have to look all around me, the way the entire Universe exists in this delicate balance proves to me that this all couldnt have happened by chance, and then I just have to look throughout my life, the years that have gone by, and my day to day activities. So many unexplainable things happen to me I know there is somebody out there lookin out for me, and some of the bad things that happen to me prove that theres somebody out there to get me... But dont jus look at me, ask God yourself, ask Him to reveal Himself to you, ask in faith, trust me it works. God Bless and I pray the Lord will be with you on your journey.
