I'm Junior studying civil engineering in Washington state and I am looking for a summer internship. Or a job realated to the field like surveying. Does anybody have any suggestions on where to look? I've applied to some allready but with no luck so far! Thanks

Look into your local city public works dept., dept. of transportation or county public works. Private civil eng. consulting firms may also offer internships.

Unless you live in a small town, you should be able to find something as a rodman. It will give you really good experience. I would try mid-sized firms which do both surveying and engineering.

Try to work as a construction worker where you can gain exp!
