Agnostic's don't know what to believe. Religions believe in a God. Atheists don't believe in a God. Most Agnostic's think there might be a God but are not sure and tend not to take things any further than that. Agnostic's don't make a choice and in doing so they still have made a choice.

Everyone is agnostic. You're agnostic if you don't know. I try really hard not to think of it as a belief system, but just a property that every human has.

In a religious perspective, you're agnostic if you SAY THAT don't know if God is real or not. What you say is the key. Only in some extreme cases do people claim to know the absolute truth (just being despicible). Atheists prefer to say they do not believe in God. Religions use faith as a basis of their beliefs. If you can't make up your mind, call yourself agnostic.

Strictly speaking, an agnostic is somebody who believes that the existance or non-existance of deity is unprovable. Though most people use the term in a slightly different way than it was originally intended, to be somebody who "questions the existance of God" or "Isn't sure one way or another". So you "know" if you're an agnostic in the same way that you'd "know" if you were an atheist, a theist, deist, polytheist, monotheist, etc.: you see if the definition of the term matches your beliefs.

If you find yourself thinking about God alot but constantly fighting His existence inside - that's one way to know. That's how I'd describe most agnostics I've met. Most are highly intelligent thinkers and they are constantly thinking about many things and they find themselves thinking about spiritual things alot and they deny the existence of God. If you deny the existence of God and yet find yourself going to church and doing things that contradict your belief that God doesn't exist. At least, that's been my experience with people who are agnostic.

one who has felt the most minuscle fraction of the power of god would go blooey in a nano second[maybe god tunes down the volume when he yaks at us .guess im an agnostic.just donno. saying no there is no god throughout this 11 billion year old universe,or other universes promotes me as a god contender. a gnostic believes-( knows,is therefore a god contender) an agnostic doesn't know, but acknowledges there might be.an atheist says there is no god since observeable evidence(which his puny senses can determine) is inapparent.as far as theist and atheist are closer to each other than are to the agnostic.i think im going to worship a bottle of bud

You might be an agnostic if you stand frozen, saying "Um...."

1.) when someone asks you, "Paper or plastic?"
2.) when someone asks you, "Coke or Pepsi?"
3.) when someone asks you, "One lump or two?"
